Welcome to the first installment of our Summer Series! 

 

This week we will be hosting a watercolor class alongside our free community event. Tickets for the watercolor class can be purchased here or through Venmo/PayPal. If paying cash you MUST reserve your spot! Only enough palettes for however many reservations there are.  All materials (color palette, watercolor grade paper, brushes, and masking tape) are provided.  Please indicate if you are planning to bring your own palette. 

There will be snacks and drinks for purchase. Feel free to bring your own as well. 

 

Tickets are $35 per adult and $20 per child. (enter coupon code 'child' at checkout) We will be painting a prairie scene: a sunflower field. 

 

We will begin the class with a lesson on color theory and mixing paint colors. Next, we will practice with gradients and learn some simple brush strokes. Then we will tape a border around our painting and get to work!

  • Kelley is a self taught watercolor artist born and raised in South Dakota. She has traveled to 35 countries and all 50 states and loves to paint wherever she goes. She loves teaching watercolor to whoever she can and will sit with a painting for hours without feeling the time at all! Along with teaching watercolor, Kelley also loves to tell people about agritourism and is excited to share her experience and knowledge with you!
